This role presents a unique opportunity for a dedicated educator to provide exceptional care and support to a 3-year-old boy with complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, age-appropriate activities to facilitate the child's growth and development milestones.

Although the child is non-verbal, he has developed effective communication techniques using his eye gaze device and other methods.

To ensure a seamless transition, the family will provide comprehensive training and guidance to enhance the candidate's skillset for this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Holding a Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care or a Bachelor teaching degree (early years or primary) with registration from the relevant state teaching authority board
  • Having at least 3 years of professional experience in childcare with verifiable references
  • Possessing WWCC, Police Check, CPR, and Level 2 First Aid certifications
  • Being a licensed driver with access to a vehicle
  • Committing to a minimum 12-month tenure
  • Eligibility for full working rights in Australia (Applicants with 155, 190, and 186 visas may be considered subject to conditions and length of stay - 417 and 462 visas are not eligible)
