We are seeking a talented Algorithms Software Engineer to join our team in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our RFAI Detection Capability, working closely with ML/AI, Data Science, RF, and infrastructure teams to innovate and enhance our world-leading Anti-Drone technology.

\

As an Algorithms Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge algorithms using C++. Your expertise will be essential in developing simulation software used to assist algorithm development, creating data analysis and algorithm evaluation pipelines, conducting unit testing to ensure software quality and reliability, and collaborating with software and hardware development teams to inform decisions about complex system design.

Our ideal candidate is a lifelong learner with self-taught skills and a commitment to staying up-to-date with current best practices. You will have experience deploying state-of-the-art algorithmic models to deliver commercial value, working with modern infrastructure and tools, and running software in Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain drone detection algorithms using C++
  • Create and maintain simulation software used to assist algorithm development
  • Design and implement data analysis and algorithm evaluation pipelines
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure software quality and reliability
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with software and hardware development teams to inform decisions about complex system design

Requirements

\
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a similar technical field of study
  • 3+ years of software development experience (preferably in Python or C++)
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including communication with engineers from non-software/data science backgrounds
  • Ability to translate complex algorithms and mathematical models into high-performance software operating on sensor data
  • Working knowledge of modern architectural patterns and software design patterns
