Aboriginal Family Violence Initiative Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Project Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project and administrative support on key initiatives and projects within the Koori Family Violence Unit.
The Project Officer will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement projects that aim to address family violence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This will involve:
- Implementing strategies to prevent and respond to family violence;
- Developing resources and programs to support victims of family violence;
- Collaborating with community organizations and government agencies to enhance service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of the social determinants of health and the impact of family violence on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Understanding of cultural safety principles and practices;
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
