The role of a bookkeeper is an exciting opportunity within the mortgage industry. As part of a supportive team, you will work under the guidance of an experienced financial controller and alongside an offshore team.
This position offers flexibility in growth and support within a small team, while also providing stability. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and end-to-end accounts, with proficiency in MS Excel and MYOB AccountRight accounting system.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage accounts payable and receivable;
- Oversee petty cash and banking;
- Reconcile corporate credit cards;
- Maintain multifactor banking;
- Reconcile corporate credit cards and maintain multifactor banking;
- Prepare internal and external stakeholder correspondence;
- Produce end-of-month reports and journal entries;
- Perform intercompany reconciliations;
- Create amortisation schedules;
- Complete other accounts administrative tasks as directed by the financial controller.
- Experience in bookkeeping and end-to-end accounts with high volume transaction processing knowledge;
- Proficiency in MS Excel;
- Experience in MYOB AccountRight accounting system;
- Ability to work under pressure and be a team player who can also work autonomously with minor supervision;
- Good communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to hit the ground running in a busy role supporting management and the accounting department;
- Understanding of the mortgage industry or banking is beneficial but not essential.
