Explosives Loader

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused individual to join our team as an Explosives Loader.

This role is responsible for assisting Shotfirers with coordinating and loading explosive for blasts, ensuring safe practices and procedures are at the forefront of all duties carried out.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes safety above all else.

• Explosive Management: Ensure the safe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosive in accordance with all statutory and company requirements.
• Follow instructions from Shotfirers and assist in coordinating blasting activities.
• Load explosives and prime blast holes efficiently and safely.
• Dip blast holes and record information accurately for engineers.
• Delineate active blast loading areas to ensure a smooth operation.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Perform pre-start checks on equipment and conduct bulk product quality tests as required.

• Experience in a production mining open pit environment in a similar position.
• Ability to comply with and promote Core Values and Policies.
• Self-motivated individual with strong teamwork skills.
• Unwavering commitment to safety and ability to maintain focus under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Support Shotfirer Competency (RIIBLA205D Store, Handle and Transport).
