Job Description:

The Merchandise Planning Assistant plays a key role in driving financial and stock performance across all merchandise departments.

This position requires previous experience in a similar Merchandise Planner role, with strong numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office Programs, and ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will report on and provide detailed daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal class analysis regarding sales, stock, sell-throughs and gross profit at a class and style level for online channels.

They will make recommendations for future initiatives and opportunities relating to driving sales and gross profit performance while utilising stock to its full potential, considering promotional strategies and key events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory by department, class, season, month and day.
  • Responsible for reviewing and recommending stock required for campaigns and business initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of expected incoming and outgoing sales and stock volumes for the warehouse.
  • Report online best sellers data to the team to ensure slow-moving styles are re-merchandised to maximise future sales performance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial business acumen, a good understanding of market trends and store demands, excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills, and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
