Job Description:

The Graduate Nurse Transition Program provides a unique opportunity for newly qualified nurses to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.

About the Role:

This program is designed for graduate nurses who have completed a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent.

You will work under the guidance of an experienced nurse mentor and receive ongoing support and professional development throughout a 12-month transition-to-practice experience.

  • Develop your clinical skills and knowledge in various settings
  • Collaborate with experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in regular graduate debrief sessions and professional development opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care while acting as a resource and role model to other staff.

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
  • Actively participate in the graduate nurse program, completing all requirements outlined in graduate orientation
  • Work collaboratively with the nurse unit manager and team to support and enhance the core business of the designated clinical area
