Job Title: Operating Theatre Assistant

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to assist in the operating theatre. The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated team to provide safe patient care and support nursing staff within the perioperative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely transfer patients to and from the operating theatre
• Provide effective patient handling and positioning
• Set up theatres for procedures
• Maintain a safe patient environment, including setup and cleaning of theatres during procedures
• Offer support to nursing staff as needed

Requirements:
• Experience in a healthcare setting (desirable)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
• Availability for a range of shifts across a 6-day rotating roster
• Strong willingness to learn and develop knowledge of hospital procedures
• Motivated and positive attitude with high attention to detail
• Strong understanding of manual handling and infection control procedures
• Unrestricted drivers' licence
