Job Summary
The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visual Arts Educator to join our team at Applecross Senior High School. As a Visual Arts Educator, you will be responsible for delivering the Visual Arts curriculum across a broad spectrum of contexts, including Visual Art, Design, and Media.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Visual Arts curriculum to students in a range of contexts, including Visual Art, Design, and Media.
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote student learning and well-being.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience in delivering Visual Arts education.
- Have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Framework.
- Be able to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
