Job Overview

The Department of Clinical Haematology is seeking a qualified and experienced clinical haematologist to fill an internal locum position. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering senior medical staff on leave, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the department's research and education initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide locum cover for senior medical staff during periods of absence.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in line with departmental standards and expectations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and safe patient care.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or equivalent.
  • Relevant training and experience in Clinical Haematology.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and working effectively within a team.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
