Job Title: Senior Mechanical Systems Designer

Hudson Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Systems Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and supporting underground conveyor systems.

About the Role:
  • Design and analyze underground coal conveyor systems, including power and tension calculations, using Inventor and ANSYS software.
  • Act as primary technical contact for clients, handling inquiries and building strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with sales teams during tendering, preparing scopes of work and pricing sketches.
  • Conduct site inspections to support project implementation.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including manuals and parts lists.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in bulk material handling or mining.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and ANSYS software.
  • Strong knowledge of underground conveyor systems, power, and tension calculations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on client relationships.
  • Ability to travel for site inspections.
