**Climate Infrastructure Specialist Role Overview**

About this role, we are seeking a professional with expertise in climate infrastructure to join our team in Sydney.

Our BlackRock Climate Infrastructure team was established in 2011 and has since managed over $11 billion of capital globally, investing in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, batteries, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

As a Climate Infrastructure Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct thorough financial and technical analyses, building and running financial models to evaluate project opportunities and assess their valuations.
  • Understand the technical risks and implications for investment, including construction, technology, grid, macro factors, regulatory regime, and electricity pricing.
  • Manage investments in the portfolio, including commercial negotiations, leading due diligence, financial review, and presenting to the investment committee.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with investments in infrastructure and/or private equity deals, preferably in the renewables/climate sector.
  • Highly developed quantitative capabilities, including financial analysis, modeling, and evaluation skills.
  • Strong team values and ability to thrive in a collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment.
