About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Production Leader to join our team at Newmont. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the Mine Load, Haul and Services teams to safely execute the mine plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the training, development and performance management of team members
  • Ensure the use of Newmont safety systems, including Pre-start, Fatal Risk Management(CCV), risk assessment and workplace inspection and investigation processes
  • Adhere to systems and procedures across the function, including business partners
  • Demonstrate Newmont values and build a diverse and inclusive team environment
  • Set performance metrics for the function and Business Partners in alignment with budget

About You:

  • Technical knowledge of Engineering disciplines in both Production and Planning
  • Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate
  • Autonomous haulage experience desired
  • Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and environment for the mining industry
  • Leadership experience in large open pit operations
  • Proven track record to lead a large team
  • Exposure to strategic business planning processes
