The Queensland Children's Hospital School offers world-class educational programs to school-aged children affected by hospitalisation, ensuring educational continuity across the state.
Our school caters to students from Kindy to Year 12, representing a mix of state, Catholic and independent sectors. Students at our school present with a range of medical, developmental, behavioural, emotional and mental health conditions. As leaders in inclusion, differentiation is a key feature of every teacher's practice.
About the Role:
This executive leadership position is based at the Queensland Children's Hospital in South Brisbane and forms part of the executive leadership team. The successful applicant will need to be committed to embedding equity and excellence strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead teaching and learning programs
- Be responsible for five campuses: Junior Campus (Salmon Building), Middle - Senior Campus, Virtual Hospital Education Program, Act for Kids Early Education Program, and Ipswich Hospital paediatric ward
- Work closely with senior staff to develop positive working partnerships
- Collaborate with regional staff and schools
- Partner with internal and external agencies
- Lead recruitment processes for education staff
- Work with the Executive Principal and Senior Leadership Team to plan and deliver hospital education programs
