Mental Health Professionals are sought to provide comprehensive mental health services in an acute care setting. This is a challenging opportunity to work with diverse clients and contribute to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- To conduct thorough mental health assessments, risk evaluations, safety planning, and collaborative discharge planning for clients.
- To develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address client needs and goals.
- To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and promote positive outcomes.
- To engage in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical competence and stay updated on best practices.
Requirements:
- Advanced qualifications in social work or occupational therapy (or psychology) and eligibility for professional association membership.
- Demonstrated core competency skills in mental health interventions, including experience working with people with acute mental illnesses or disorders.
- Effective communication skills to engage with patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using health information systems and demonstrated computer skills.
- Understanding of mental health principles, including consumer-focused and strengths-based practices.
