Primary Teacher Vacancy

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate primary teacher to join our collaborative team of professionals at Albany Primary School.

The successful applicant will possess a strong knowledge of highly effective teaching strategies, specifically explicit direct instruction, and the ability to understand and use student and whole school performance data to inform planning and differentiation across all year levels.

The ideal candidate will have highly developed organisation and interpersonal skills, a clear focus on student achievement, and be committed to working as part of a collaborative team. Familiarity with Initialit (P-2), PLD, Literacy (3-6) and Origo Maths would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Australian Curriculum
  • Use student and whole school performance data to inform planning and differentiation
  • Utilise explicit direct instruction and other evidence-based teaching strategies
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
