**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Planning Students intern. As a Planning Students intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of urban planning and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment of development applications, subdivision certificate applications, and dwelling entitlement applications.
• Provide general advice to customers through the duty planning service.
• Assist in the assessment of planning proposals, issuing of planning certificates, and preparation of strategic plans and policies.
• Participate in pre-lodgement meetings and work alongside experienced Council planners.

Requirements

• Studying Town Planning, Development Studies, Architecture, Property Development, Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning Law, or equivalent.
• Ability to undertake research, critical thinking, and report writing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
