Construction Labourer Role

We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to fill the position of Construction Labourer. This is an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for construction to gain valuable experience and contribute to the successful completion of exciting projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of construction sites, ensuring they are safe and ready for work.
  • Perform general physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and moving construction materials and equipment.
  • Operate hand and power tools under the supervision of skilled workers to assist in various construction activities.
  • Aid in the demolition of structures, including the removal of debris and hazardous materials, following safety protocols.
  • Help with the installation and assembly of construction components, such as scaffolding, temporary structures, and formwork.
  • Assist tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, by providing necessary materials and tools.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure a tidy and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, maintaining a high standard of safety consciousness at all times.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in your work.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • BASIC knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials is an asset.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and a willingness to learn and grow in the construction industry.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour.
  • Full-time, part-time, permanent, fixed term, subcontract, casual, freelance, seasonal, temp to perm job types available.
  • Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday (weekends may be required).
  • Work authorization: Australian Citizen or valid visa with work authorization.
