We are seeking a highly experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) specialist to partner with our business and lead the effective implementation and execution of HSE policy and strategy in an industrial setting.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in HSE business partnering or operational roles, preferably in complex, high-risk environments. They will possess demonstrable knowledge and experience in HSE management systems and relevant legislation, as well as a sound understanding of injury management, workers' compensation, and health promotion.
The role involves acting as a trusted advisor and custodian of standards, leading the implementation and maintenance of HSE strategies and improvement plans. The ideal candidate will be able to support the rollout of our HSE policies, ensure compliance with all procedures, and coach and mentor leaders and teams to achieve HSE objectives while collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address health, safety, and environmental risks.
This is a key role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain accurate records of safety inspections, permits, and licenses. The successful candidate will also drive continuous improvement in our HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
About the Role
- Act as a trusted advisor and custodian of standards, leading the implementation and maintenance of HSE strategies and improvement plans.
- Support the rollout of our HSE policies, ensuring compliance with all procedures.
- Coach and mentor leaders and teams to achieve HSE objectives, while collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address health, safety, and environmental risks.
- Lead reporting and investigations of hazards, incidents, and injuries/illnesses, and ensure follow-ups are completed.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in work health and safety, risk management, or related field.
- Ability to obtain Australian Defence Clearances.
