Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Architect to join our client, a large retail organization, on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security architecture and engineering safeguards around a data project currently underway within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Apply Security Architecture & Privacy Best Practices: The Data Security Architect will focus on data protection and breach detection, ensuring the implementation of robust security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
- Implement Controls and Design Best Practices: The successful candidate will design and implement controls to prevent data breaches, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
- Think of Data Protection Scenarios and Implement and Improve Current Posture: The Data Security Architect will identify potential data protection risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, continuously improving the organization's data protection posture.
- Closely Work with Architects and Teams: The successful candidate will collaborate with Architects from Data Visualization, Data Analytics, Data Storage, and Global Privacy Teams to integrate security best practices and ensure seamless data protection.
- Architect and Engineer Data Protection Mechanisms: The Data Security Architect will design and implement data protection mechanisms for data at rest and data in transit, ensuring the security of sensitive information.
- Work with Developers and Engineering Leaders: The successful candidate will effectively communicate security issues to developers and engineering leaders, working together to ensure security issues are addressed and resolved.
- Operate in an Agile Environment: The Data Security Architect will work in an agile, dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a computing-related discipline or relevant security-related certifications, with at least 5 years of cybersecurity experience working in an architectural role.
- Experience with Container-Based Architectures: Experience with container-based architectures and implementations such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc. would be beneficial.
- Good Data Privacy Knowledge: The successful candidate will have good data privacy knowledge and a sound understanding of data protection requirements.
