About the Role

The Dental Assistant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of dental care services at ATSICHS Brisbane. This includes preparing treatment rooms, reprocessing instruments, supporting patients through procedures, and providing education on oral hygiene and plaque control.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent, and will be able to demonstrate their ability to meet targets and performance outcomes. They will also be able to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality support with best-practice chairside assisting.
  • Ensure quality control of dental equipment.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment to achieve results consistent with workplace values.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
  • Current National Police Check or ability to obtain.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Previous experience working with dental students.
