A challenging opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Cost Management Specialist to make a significant impact in a dynamic and rapidly growing field. Based in Melbourne, the successful candidate will have the chance to work on large-scale technical projects in the busiest sector.

Redpath Partners is seeking an experienced Estimating and Planning Professional who can join their APAC team and work closely with the Senior Cost Manager and the Development team to shape the future of hyper-scale data centre projects. This role is essential to achieving construction cost and quality targets and ensuring seamless project delivery.

About the Role

This full-time position involves leading and managing all aspects of construction estimates and budgets, aligning them with critical business objectives. You will work with Engineering, Technology, and Procurement teams to develop and execute detailed cost plans, while effectively communicating budget constraints and cost impacts to the project team.

  • Lead and manage construction estimates and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost estimation and planning for large-scale construction, ideally in data centre environments. They should also have solid understanding of construction methodologies, with intermediate knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction budgets, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Identify and address risks within the cost estimation process.
  • Develop standard cost/estimate guidelines and manage cost-related documentation.
  • Assess implications of construction changes on budgets.
  • Report on cost impacts to senior management.
