Drilling Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Drilling Operations Specialist to join our team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating drilling equipment across various sites.

Your primary duties will include ensuring equipment is secure and in safe working order, submitting daily shift reports, and tagging out faulty equipment. Additionally, you will be required to compile fieldwork and draft reporting sheets for typing, support coordination and planning of allocated work, and liaise with laboratory staff for booking samples for testing.

You will also be expected to follow site Health & Safety procedures at all times.

  • Set up and operate drilling equipment as per site requirements.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, including regular inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Submit daily shift reports and tag out any faulty equipment.
  • Compile fieldwork data and draft reporting sheets for typing.
  • Support the coordination and planning of allocated work.
  • Liaise with laboratory staff for booking samples for testing.

About You:

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of minimum construction requirements for water bores in Australia.
  • Hold sound literacy and numeracy skills, as well as effective communication skills.
  • Show willingness to use new equipment and processes.
  • Hold knowledge of water acts for all states in which you have a drilling licence for.
  • Demonstrate ability to work within a team and autonomously.
