Construction Project Coordinator Job

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team in Queensland. This role involves coordinating on-site construction engineering activities and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards.

  • Coordinate construction engineering activities on site and ensure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards.
  • Plan and administer job planning and programming for construction projects, including short-range and intermediate activities.
  • Input information and undertake minor design on site, monitor, and recommend changes to design details to increase ease of construction.
  • Exercise professional judgment in resolving engineering issues.
  • Manage financial aspects of construction projects, including reducing costs and meeting budgets.
  • Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
  • Implement and communicate risk controls and actions involved in project delivery and implementation.
  • Report on project performance, compliance, defects, and non-conformance.
  • Conduct safety, environment, and quality risk assessments to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.

Requirements

  • Construction management and technical skills relevant to the program of work and discipline area.
  • Experience in planning, development, and review of complex projects.
  • Implementation of audits and schedule processes.
  • Skills in document and record management, progress, and performance reporting.
  • Risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls in project delivery.
  • Proficiency in relevant software: Microsoft Suite; Primavera 6 (advantageous), Aconex, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitating meetings and basic cost control skills.
