Job Description

Comcare's Technology and Information Management (TAIM) team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Officer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance, and advice on the effective management of information.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in records and information management, with experience in the Commonwealth Government setting. They will be responsible for managing a small team, providing legislative advice, and ensuring the delivery of responsive, reliable, and accurate advice and services to Comcare.

The primary focus of this role is to provide best practice insight and aid in deliberation on governance, relating to how records are managed within the department. The role will also be responsible for information architecture activities and records management education/training to Comcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a range of administrative activities, including forecasting and reporting
  • Provide legislative advice to support Comcare business activities relating to information management
  • Develop and implement information architecture strategies
  • Provide records management education and training to Comcare staff

Requirements:

  • 3+ years records/information management experience
  • Experience in the Commonwealth Government setting
  • Extensive legislative subject matter expertise and knowledge
  • Certification on an EDRMS or equivalent years of experience administering an EDRMS
  • Membership of the Records and Information Management Professionals Association
  • Experience in managing records in a cloud-based environment

Eligibility and Conditions of Employment:

  • Character clearance (police records check)
  • Health Assessment
  • Six months probationary period
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance
