Senior Full Stack Developer

Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Griddle team, responsible for developing and maintaining our cutting-edge timetabling product. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features, ensuring the highest quality and scalability of our software.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop secure, scalable software solutions that meet the needs of thousands of students, parents, and teachers worldwide.
- Champion software craftsmanship, clean code, and pair programming to inspire quality and best practices within the team.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration, feedback, and growth.
- Mentor junior colleagues and drive architectural strategy, employing industry best practices and following Griddle software engineering guidelines.
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs, collaborating with Product Owners and Designers to shape products that solve their problems.
- A passion for developing high-quality products while meeting company objectives with other talented developers.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting complex software systems and identifying problems worth solving for customers and the business.
- Pride and ownership over the software you build, with a keen interest in mentoring junior colleagues and helping them grow as engineers.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working independently and in a team environment.
- Proven experience in object-oriented programming languages (Java) and frontend JavaScript libraries and frameworks (React.js, Node.js, and Typescript).
- Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, and designing and implementing database solutions.
- Experience in testing practices, such as TDD or automation.
