Cybersecurity Network Specialist

A leading financial services provider seeks a skilled Cybersecurity Network Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role involves working across multiple project engagements, responsible for the build, configuration, and deployment of network security devices within a complex network environment. The network security fleet includes F5 load balancers along with Juniper SRX, Fortinet, and Checkpoint firewalls.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant vendor certifications
  • Demonstrated network engineering project experience gained within large, complex network environments
  • Proven knowledge and experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting network security devices with advanced knowledge and experience with Checkpoint, Juniper SRX, or Fortinet and F5 (LTM, GTM, APM, ASM)
  • Strong knowledge and experience of routing and switching including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and VTP
  • Previous experience with IPS tools is highly regarded, as is any experience writing Python scripts or using Ansible
  • Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently as required

This is a Sydney-based role which will require you to be in the office at least two to three days per week.
