About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team, providing essential nursing care and support to residents in accordance with Arcare's Values.

You will play a crucial role under the supervision of an RN to provide positive resident outcomes, promoting their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and ensure proper documentation of medication records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and record residents' vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in their health condition, providing timely and effective interventions.
  • Wound Care: Provide basic wound care and dressing changes for residents with minor wounds, promoting healing and preventing complications.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Conduct health assessments and report any changes in residents' health to the supervising RN or healthcare team, ensuring prompt action and effective communication.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork, working effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities, with excellent interpersonal skills and a patient approach.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is between $36.29 - $42.64 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
