The Role

We're seeking a skilled Production Team Leader to join our team, responsible for leading our production staff in crafting high-quality products. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all production staff comply with company procedures, specifications, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign production staff to locations during production
  • Ensure adherence to company dress code and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with staff to ensure relevant information is relayed consistently
  • Meet customer deadlines and specifications, notifying exceptions as necessary
  • Verify products are made according to recipes and specifications
  • Ensure ingredients and packaging are stored correctly and in an orderly fashion
  • Verify labels are accurate and up-to-date
  • Conduct daily quality GMP checks
  • Ensure lines are set up and sanitized
  • Maintain factory and office cleanliness
  • Perform heavy lifting as required
Requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and coach team members
  • Ability to provide clear orders and instructions
  • Food processing experience, machine operating, and knife skills
  • Comfortable working in a cold environment
  • Initiative to seek out work with limited directions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of hygiene, food safety procedures, HACCP principles, and quality assurance systems
  • Proven time management skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
