About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Wind Farm Technician Associate. In this role, you will support the overall operations and maintenance of one or more wind farms, ensuring safety and maximizing availability. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electromechanical systems, electrical circuits, and hydraulic principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the overall operations and maintenance of one or more wind farms, ensuring safety and maximizing availability.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities, training, and safety exercises.
  • Assist with turbine maintenance, including services, major component work, and replacement.
  • Support Balance of Plant procedures, including substation and collection system maintenance.
  • Adhere to company values and behaviors.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in sciences or a related field from an accredited school preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution required, with at least 1 year of experience in wind turbine maintenance.
  • Alternatively, a 2-year or 4-year college degree from an accredited school (other than correspondence or online) in a technical science like engineering, physics, power, or closely similar.
  • Military experience in a technical field (electrical, electronics, or mechanical) may be considered.
  • Current Journeyman, Master Electrician License, or Wind Tech Certificate may be substituted for relevant work experience.
  • An unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions and perform basic rigging and signaling.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools, as well as environmental and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and independently as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams for meetings.
