About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Worker to join our team at our Helidon facility. As an Assembly Worker, you will be responsible for operating machinery and performing various tasks related to the assembly and production of explosives and blasting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the EBS machine and associated workstations
  • Set up and operate equipment in accordance with work instructions and procedures
  • Loading coiled wire onto machinery
  • Crimping of detonators onto wire assembly
  • Packing assembled product into boxes in required formats
  • Quality and inspections and recording
  • Perform basic mathematical equations and basic report writing
  • Ensure all operations are performed to procedures and WHS and environmental requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment operating machinery is an advantage
  • Great hand-eye coordination, ability to work at a fast pace, and safety consciousness are essential
  • Reliable and respectful towards others, with a positive and motivated work ethic
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to learn and be trained for success
  • Mechanical aptitude and high level of dexterity
  • Ability to obtain an Explosives Licence and high level Police Clearance
  • Reliable car and current drivers licence
