Job Opportunity: Culinary Specialist

This role requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual to lead the preparation of nutritious meals for older persons and persons with a disability. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring that all dietary needs are met with care and creativity.

The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, with the ability to manage inventory and order supplies as needed. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification is essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences;
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards;
  • Collaborate with the care team to create meal plans that promote residents' health and well-being;
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure fresh and high-quality ingredients;
  • Provide exceptional service to older persons, ensuring a positive dining experience;
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent;
  • Food hygiene/ Food Handlers Certificate (highly desirable);
  • Previous experience working in FIFO hospitality industry (desirable);
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP (highly desirable);
  • Current nationally recognised first aid & CPR certificate;
  • A current minimum P1
