Physiotherapy Officer

The Australian Defence Force employs registered physiotherapists in Army health units and Joint Health Command garrison medical centres. These officers form part of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC).
Main Responsibilities:
As a physiotherapy officer, you can expect a variety of employments which may include:
- Providing physiotherapy services in static deployed hospitals to pre and post-operative patients
- Delivering physiotherapy to wounded and injured patients in field hospitals
- Supporting rehabilitation efforts for patients after extensive surgery or illness
- Collaborating with physical training instructors (PTIs) to enhance patient rehabilitation and conditioning
- Offering sports medicine physiotherapy services to units and Army sports, including sports injury management and prevention
- Depending on postings, some physiotherapists may deploy with their units to remote and austere areas
