Academic Administrator Role at St Mary's Catholic College

St Mary's Catholic College is a co-educational secondary school located in the Richmond Valley region of the Far North Coast of NSW, situated on the Bundjalung land. The College has a long history and is deeply rooted in both the Marist and Mercy traditions.
The College offers a comprehensive range of subjects to its students, delivering Stage 6 courses in the Compressed Curriculum model. This role will be part of a team that provides administrative support to the College community.
Job Overview
This part-time temporary position requires an individual to work 25 hours per week for the 2025 school year, commencing 31 January 2025. As an Academic Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive tasks with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- To hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
- To demonstrate high-level communication, administrative, and office skills when interacting with people at all levels
- To show initiative and effectively manage time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- To have a strong working knowledge of WH&S and equity in employment principles, applying related policies and procedures
- To comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and deal with confidential matters
- Highly developed skills in Microsoft and Google applications, with a willingness to learn new systems
- Knowledge of or experience with Compass and/or TechOne
- Current First Aid certificate
- Capacity to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum (dependent on experience), offering competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within the Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools Limited.
