Lead Geotechnical Expert Role

Our organization seeks a skilled and experienced Lead Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from surface and underground structures to geotechnical investigation and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in geotechnical design, analysis, and interpretation. They should also be able to lead and manage teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop and implement geotechnical designs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead geotechnical designs for surface and underground structures.
  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses, and prepare recommendations and reports.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver design solutions and support project delivery.
  • Understand materials testing objectives to support geotechnical investigation and design recommendations.
  • Manage project tenders and cost estimates, and train and mentor team members.
Qualifications
  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent and chartered status with Engineers Australia.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and clients, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Proven geotechnical design experience and strong numerical/analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop and lead geotechnical design teams.
