Housekeeper Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Housekeeper to join our team.

  • Casual or part-time up to 30 hours per week, must be available for morning shifts over a 7-day roster.
  • This role is critical to the hotel's daily operations, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of the highest possible standard for our valued guests and customers.
About This Role:

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and common areas.

  • Clean and disinfect all toilet areas to the required standard.
  • Monitor and replenish dispensers and toilet paper as required.
  • Responsible for the appropriate handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Practice safe working habits, including bending and lifting appropriately to avoid injury and report all hazards to management urgently.
  • Collecting and disposing of waste/rubbish from various departments.
  • Laundry duties, which may include washing and drying.
  • Replace dirty linen, towels, and other room supplies as per hotel policy.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies in supplies/chemicals.
  • Notify management of any maintenance issues.
  • Ensure the housekeeping checklist as provided by management is completed.
  • Responsible to ensure guest confidentiality and security of guest rooms is maintained.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a cleaner in accommodation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and initiative.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ability to prioritise and good time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising on quality.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to listen carefully and ask questions to gain clarification.
  • Must be able to cooperate with a wide range of staff in a pleasant manner.
