Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our dynamic school community.

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centered, safe, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies, and practices.

You will collaborate with peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy, assess, provide feedback, and report on student learning.

A key aspect of this role is working with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy practices, plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, and a commitment to engaging with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes.

The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers require candidates to demonstrate competence across professional knowledge, practice, and engagement.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in Primary Teaching - Year 2 level
  • Contemporary teaching experience in Primary Teaching - Year 2 level
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy practices
  • Clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
