Job Description

As a Loader Operator, you will play a crucial role in the mining process.

Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to achieve maximum output is key to this role. You will work closely with the Mining Supervisor to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

The success of our operation relies heavily on your ability to maintain floor levels and minimize dilution. Achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances is also a critical aspect of this position.

Maintaining stockpiles, dumps, and haul roads for safe and efficient flow is essential. Additionally, you will operate and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads.

Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards is vital to the smooth operation of the mine. Finally, performing pre-start checks is an important responsibility that ensures the safety of yourself and others.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating a CAT 992 Loader in a production mining environment is required.
  • Strong mining operational skills are necessary, including the ability to maintain pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration are essential.
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times are mandatory.
  • A valid Australian driver's license is also required.
