Electrical Design Engineer

At WeBuild, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team on the Snowy 2.0 project. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing electrical designs, monitoring and maintenance of electrical QMS, procurement of electrical materials, order tracking and expediting with suppliers, and technical support for project engineering queries.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Engineers Australia license (PE) preferred, White Card, and C Class Drivers' License. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a site engineer, preferably within the construction industry, is also required.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including electrical QA and maintenance requirements, and proficiency in coordinating with cross-functional teams. Effective written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

Responsibilities will include maintaining drawings, assets, and maintenance registers for the electrical network, scheduling and coordination of electrical activities with the site team, procurement of electrical consumables and switchgear, and introduction to the plant and equipment organization and interface management between other disciplines in the project.
