We are seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to drive delivery for major projects. You'll work with multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and ensure our solutions meet high standards of safety, quality, and performance.
- You will lead mechanical engineering scopes across various phases for major oil & gas, heavy industrial, and processing projects.
- Success in this role means delivering technically sound, compliant, and timely engineering solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and designers, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project integration and consistency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical engineering delivery for FEED and Detailed Design phases, ensuring all outputs meet project, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Plan, organise, and allocate resources to achieve milestones on time and within budget.
- Develop and review engineering documentation, including Design Basis documents, P&IDs, specifications, equipment datasheets, and material requisitions.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, filters, heat exchangers, pumps, separators, compressors, gas turbines, gas engines, and piping systems.
- Apply relevant Australian Standards, codes, and client specifications to all mechanical designs and deliverables.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain alignment across project data and deliverables.
- Champion quality assurance by adhering to OGP's Quality Policy and taking accountability for the standard of all deliverables before submission.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient designs.
- Mentor and supervise mechanical engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and reviewing work to ensure accuracy and quality.
