Overview

As a senior nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical guidance and leadership to the personal care team, ensuring that all residents receive the best possible care. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong clinical knowledge and skills, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures.
  • Act as Team Leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly.
  • Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar.
  • Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues.
  • Strong coaching/training skills.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
