About the Role

Orica is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Supervisor to join our team in South Australia. As a critical member of our operations team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Bulk Delivery Operations to OC/UG customers directly from the field site, while also providing essential support to other sites within the South Australian Region.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating site mobilisations and demobilisations
  • Driving Operational Discipline
  • Leading and motivating a highly skilled team of MMU/MCU Operators
  • Providing analytical/decision support to Territory manager on continuous improvement plan
  • Coordinating logistics of raw materials, equipment, and MMU/MCU/Fitters Operators
  • Ensuring operational process meets Orica standards and customer's expectations
  • Change management, project management, people management, report generation, prep and conduct customer meetings

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in an operational leadership role
  • Qualifications in frontline management and project management (demonstrated)
  • Knowledge of the UG mining/explosives industry is essential
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Suite Skills Essential
  • Sound knowledge of good operational practices and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated previous experience leading and managing people, assets and customers
  • High developed computer literacy for day-to-day requirements
  • Sound knowledge of the mining industry (desirable)
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to effectively lead and train small groups
  • Experience in system/process/risk improvements
  • Thorough knowledge of Orica Mining Services Operations (preferred)
  • Decisive: Ability and experience in making decisions quickly and soundly
  • Urgency and Energy: Demonstrate requisite urgency coupled with energy to drive consistent and repeatable performance from teams
  • Ownership: Own the responsibility assigned as Supervisor and the deliveries of your team
  • Follow-up: Consistency and tenacity in ensuring tasks are delivered on time and to standard
  • Respectful: Deal with all members of the team with respect
  • Courageous: Capability to make courageous decisions when required
