About the Role:

We are seeking motivated and talented Ecologists to join our team. You will work alongside other Environmental Scientists/Ecologists, be mentored by senior scientists, and report to a Director with extensive experience.

This role offers exposure to all aspects of the environmental assessment process, from project due diligence to construction environmental management, and includes diverse tasks such as fieldwork and office-based activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of botanical and zoological survey methods, landform/geomorphological survey methods, and water quality sampling.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in qualitative and quantitative environmental impact assessment methods and tools.
  • Prepare preliminary environmental assessments, ecological assessment reports, bushfire hazard assessments, revegetation plans, and environmental offsets plans.
  • Supervise vegetation/environmental/fauna works in accordance with development permit conditions.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or science majoring in ecology, zoology, or botany (Honours minimum).
  • Demonstrated experience in both botanical and zoological survey and assessment methods.
  • Queensland plant and animal identification skills.
  • Proficiency in spatial analysis (GIS) and computer literacy.
