Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Compassionate Aged Care Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our clients. You will provide personalized support with daily living tasks, social engagement, and transportation, while maintaining confidentiality and respecting client preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Social Engagement: Encourage and facilitate social interaction among clients, promoting mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
  • Transportation: Safely transport clients to appointments, medical procedures, and other scheduled activities.
  • MEDICATION MANAGEMENT: Administer medications as per individual care plans and report any concerns or observations to the Coordinator or Admin team.
  • Care Documentation: Accurately record all care activities using an iPad, maintaining detailed records for future reference.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced and caring professional who shares our commitment to delivering exceptional aged care services. You will possess a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, with a strong understanding of medication assistance and safe work practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a warm and empathetic approach when interacting with clients.

Essential Requirements:

  • Australian Driver's License, Car Registration, and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check.
  • 2 x COVID Vaccinations.

Location:

This role is based in Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock, and surrounding areas, with potential expansion to Raymond Terrace.

Earn Approximately $55,000 - $65,000 Per Annum:

This estimate is based on the Australian national average salary range for this position, considering factors like location, experience, and qualifications.
