The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering programs in schools to improve student attendance and academic performance. Key areas of focus include career development, life skills, and cultural identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Planning and Implementation: Deliver NASCA programs in schools, ensuring smooth coordination and execution.
- Cultivating Relationships: Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with students, community members, and school staff.
- Supporting Student Success: Facilitate workshops, provide in-class tutoring, and offer individualized support to First Nation students aged 12-18.
- Lifelong Skills: Provide activities that promote life skills, school engagement, and job readiness, including cooking, creative arts, leadership, CV creation, goal setting, and Traditional Indigenous Games.
- Community Building: Organize after-school and weekend activities, excursions, and community events to foster cultural exchange between the community, NASCA, and school.
- Personalized Learning Plans: Create tailored learning plans for NASCA students, catering to their unique needs and goals.
