About Our Youth Support Program

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to join our team. As a Youth Mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering young people aged 10-25 with NDIS plans to achieve their goals through mentoring and group programs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a non-judgmental attitude, and the ability to work autonomously. If you have a passion for helping others and making a positive impact in your community, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role
  • Job Purpose: To provide one-on-one mentoring and support to young people, promoting social skills, community connections, life skills, and independence.
  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Provide mentoring support and serve as a positive role model.
    • Facilitate small groups to promote social connection & skill development.
    • Organise activities that assist young people achieve their identified goals.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in a human services field or experience working in a similar role with vulnerable youth.
  • Skills:
    • Maintain a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Clearance.
    • A current Australian driver's license.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work autonomously.
