About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contaminated Land Remediation Specialist to join our team in Newcastle East. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert consulting services on contaminated site management.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in contaminated land remediation to take on a challenging role with significant scope for growth and development.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in contaminated site management consulting, with strong fieldwork and project management skills. You will be part of a dynamic technical team responsible for consulting on contaminated sites across NSW, working on a range of investigation and remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise fieldwork programs, including subcontractors and ERM personnel on site;
- Undertake environmental assessments and remediation works involving the collection of field data (soil, soil gas/vapour, groundwater);
- Preparation of or providing inputs into complex technical reports in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation;
- Electronic data management and production of borelogs and summary tables;
- Assist with the preparation of client proposals; and
- Support project managers through planning and delivering field programs and/or budget/task management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5-8 years' experience in contaminated site management consulting;
- Relevant tertiary qualification (geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, soil science or other related science subject degree);
- Leadership and co-ordination of field programs, including mentoring of junior colleagues;
- Proven report writing skills, including engagement in the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme or professional industry bodies;
- Project management experience, i.e. proposal and project budget development, client and external stakeholder engagement, allocation and management of tasks to meet agreed timelines;
- Williness to travel and work on-site; and
- Authorised to work full-time in Australia.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on experience, plus benefits including structured career development opportunities, discretionary performance bonuses, and flexible working arrangements.
