Strategic Financial Control Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Control leader to oversee the timely and accurate delivery of financial control, governance, and statutory reporting activities.
- The successful candidate will lead systems, processes, and procedures governing financial activities, including accounts payable/receivable, month-end closure, and reporting.
- They will provide leadership and support to the Financial Control team across multiple projects, including annual financial reporting processes and APRA data collection.
- The individual will interpret complex regulatory and accounting concepts and communicate them to non-financial colleagues, Management, and Executives.
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Financial Control team.
- Assist in enhancing monthly financial close activities and ensuring risks, obligations, and policy requirements are identified and mitigated.
- Manage relationships with outsourced service providers and develop comprehensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting by Financial Services/Funds Management organizations (AAS1056).
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in the superannuation industry.
- CA or CPA status with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience.
- Ideal experience with Oracle Cloud or other cloud-based ERP/EPM systems.
