The Royal Melbourne Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Australia, seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Emergency Surgery & Trauma Fellow.

Key Responsibilities

This 12-month full-time fixed-term position offers the opportunity to gain experience in acute care surgery within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Emergency General Surgical service and Trauma Service, participating in patient care, teaching, education, and clinical research.

  • Work with a range of specialist general surgery activities commensurate with a tertiary referral centre and Level One Trauma Service.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia or eligibility for registration for international medical graduates.
  • MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • F.R.A.C.S or equivalent in General Surgery.
  • Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) course completion.
  • Able to work effectively in a team and possess well-developed communication and presentation skills.
