Support Young People in Their LivesWork as a Home-Based Care (HBC) Support Worker, making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people. You will be part of a team that supports clients and families within our Foster Care program.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with HBC Case Manager and Coordinator to provide essential support to clients and their families.
- Plan activities within the home, explore the community, and assist with transporting clients to appointments.
- Focus on meeting each child's and young person's unique needs while ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar tertiary qualifications.
- A current valid driver's licence and ability to operate passenger vehicles.
- An understanding of trauma and how best to work with children and young people in Out of Home Care.
- A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing, and experience providing empathy and care for young people.
- Demonstrated understanding of cultural and linguistic diversity, including cultural safety for children from CALD backgrounds.
- Hourly rate based on SCHADS Award Level 2-3 dependent on qualification and experience.
